Since 2026—as part of 1000FTAD’s international expansion in the UAE and the GCC.
What are your main responsibilities or areas of expertise?
My focus is on the strategic positioning of 1000FTAD in the Arab world and on building strong business relationships as a bridge between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
What have you done before (vocational training, college, previous positions)?
I have many years of international experience in management and business development at the C-level and senior management levels.
Over the past 20 years, I have worked for a leading Swiss corporate group. This gave me the opportunity—first in Asia—in Seoul, Beijing, and Shanghai, and later in the United Arab Emirates—to establish and manage new companies and make a valuable contribution to the corporate group. Particularly memorable was the establishment of a greenfield manufacturing facility in China, which grew into a successful company.
I hold a degree in economics and have a keen understanding of economic relationships as well as strategic risk and opportunity management.
My strength lies in providing strategic guidance during the startup and growth phases, building high-performing teams, and leading companies to consistent results and long-term success.
What brought you here?
My enthusiasm for financial markets began when I was just 14 years old, when I received my first stock. What started out as mere curiosity has, over the years, developed into a lasting passion for money and capital markets.
At 1000FTAD, I see an opportunity to work with headquarters to set the course for sustainable growth and long-term positioning in the GCC region. The region’s strategic importance, combined with the company’s innovative strength, makes this an exceptional business opportunity.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I particularly enjoy interacting directly with people from different cultures and markets.
In recent years, Dubai has evolved into an international hub for capital, innovation, and new investment structures, thanks to its numerous family offices, hedge funds, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Being part of this dynamic environment is a great source of motivation for me.
What sets your work style apart?
I work strategically, in a structured manner, and with a clear focus on teamwork. Through my many years of experience in various cultural and economic contexts, I have learned to develop complex business relationships in a sustainable way and to effectively reconcile differing interests.
What motivates you at work?
I am motivated by the challenge of effectively positioning Switzerland’s time-honored financial tradition in a dynamic environment such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Strategic. International. Entrepreneurial.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I appreciate the cosmopolitan atmosphere of international cities like Shanghai, New York, Munich, and Singapore. Dubai is currently my adopted home. In these cities, cultural, economic, and social developments can be observed almost in real time. It is precisely this dynamism that inspires me.
To balance things out, I enjoy relaxing moments—whether it’s sipping a cocktail at a beach bar or having a snack in the mountains. There are many impressive places, but when I want to truly unwind, I’m drawn to Lake Weißensee near Füssen. Here, I enjoy quiet moments of reflection.
Do you have a special talent or an interesting trait?
First: Emotional intelligence. Especially during the startup phase, it was crucial to find the right candidates and build high-performing teams from them in a short period of time. In doing so, I saw how a culture of appreciation creates an environment that fosters respect, recognition, and the courage to tap into untapped potential.
Second: Statistics and risk-reward ratios. I’ve been fascinated by this topic ever since my math classes in school and college. This led to one of my mottos: “Life is all about probability.”

Everything you do should have a deeper meaning. The English word “purpose” probably describes it best: the combination of purpose, destiny, meaning, goal, and intention. My own thoughts and actions are guided by this idea.
A fun fact about you?
That reminds me of China in 2008: A female controller asked me if she was allowed to have a child. I was taken aback … what does having a child have to do with me? But then I learned that the one-child policy was part of the planned economy, and companies were required to monitor compliance. I didn’t just approve product launches and budgets—I also approved babies.
