1000FTAD Logo - 1000 fabulous trades a day - as a tagline

Regulation is now in effect—not at some point in the future

The image shows the EU AI Intelligence Act. It is intended to illustrate our article’s point that the regulation is now in effect—not at some point in the future.

In the European financial and technology sectors, regulation is no longer an abstract issue for the future. DORA has been in effect since January 17, 2025, and requires financial firms to organize their digital operational resilience in a structured manner—that is, to systematically manage ICT risks, outages, dependencies on third-party providers, and reporting processes.

EU AI Act: Progressive, but Binding

At the same time, the EU AI Act is also gradually coming into effect; the official EU timeline calls for a phased implementation, with full rollout by August 2, 2027. Meanwhile, official simplification and adaptation processes are already underway at the EU level, including proposals and Council positions that would further extend certain high-risk deadlines.

The operational implication is clear

Nevertheless, the following applies to companies: Governance, documentation, transparency, and technical robustness must be established now. By 2026, regulatory compliance will no longer be a future project, but rather an integral part of the ongoing operating model.

Amid growing regulatory pressure, the 1000FTAD software stands out because resilience, traceability, and compliance are digitally integrated into the platform architecture.
