How long have you been part of the team?
I've been with the company since it was founded in 2017—as a founder and CEO, I've been part of the company from the very beginning.
What are your main responsibilities or areas of expertise?
As CEO, I am responsible for the strategic direction of 1000FTAD AG as well as its overall business operations. My area of expertise is algorithmic foreign exchange trading—we operate fully automated trading software across many currency pairs. Specifically, this involves further developing our trading strategies, supporting professional investors from the DACH region, the UK, the GCC, and other markets, and building and maintaining our sales partner networks.
What have you done before (vocational training, college, previous positions)?
I have over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. My career path has taken me to Raiffeisen Privatbank Liechtenstein and Baader Bank, among others, where I gained in-depth insights into capital markets, securities trading, and investment advisory services. In addition, I was responsible for asset management at several companies, where I ensured successful investments for over twenty years. These experiences have significantly shaped my understanding of institutional structures and professional investors—a foundation upon which I built 1000FTAD AG in 2017.
What brought you here?
1000FTAD AG is a company I founded myself—I had the software developed in 2017 for my own use, and I never actually intended to sell or lease it. I established the company as a Swiss AG in 2024 because I was convinced that systematic, fully automated foreign exchange trading at the institutional level could also be made accessible to professional retail investors. I was driven by the vision of creating real added value through proprietary technology and consistent risk discipline—all within a legally and regulatory sound framework.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What excites me most is the intersection of technology and financial markets. Every day, I work on systems that make decisions on their own—there’s something deeply fascinating about that. At the same time, I really enjoy the direct contact with professional investors: genuine conversations, clear requirements, and the challenge of explaining complex strategies in a way that’s easy to understand.
What sets your work style apart?
I work in a structured and results-oriented manner. Precision is important to me—whether I’m analyzing trading data or drafting investor documents. I think in terms of systems and processes, but at the same time remain flexible enough to respond quickly to market changes or new circumstances.
What motivates you at work?
I’m motivated by the challenge of building something that will stand the test of time. 1000FTAD isn’t just a trading firm—it’s a long-term project designed to offer real added value to professional investors. When a strategy performs well, a partner is convinced by our work, or a new investment structure is successfully launched, that’s the moment that drives me forward.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Entrepreneurial. Precise. Forward-thinking.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I really enjoy spending time in nature—whether on my many trips or simply to unwind from everyday life. I’m also interested in international geopolitics and economic trends, which, of course, tie in with my professional work.
Do you have a special talent or an interesting trait?
I have a keen eye for patterns—both in the marketplace and in my interactions with people. This ability to quickly recognize connections and assess situations intuitively has often helped me in my entrepreneurial career.

“If you stop getting better, you’ve stopped being good.” – Philip Rosenthal. This quote has stayed with me for years: it represents the drive to improve that motivates me every day.

From Market Vendor to Algo Entrepreneur – After more than 30 years on the vendor side, I’ve switched sides: Instead of selling other people’s products, I now build my own—and stand behind them with personal liability and conviction.
