Dear friends and business partners of 1000FTAD, we are pleased to announce a special milestone in our network today. Our director, Linus Schmidt, was invited by his longtime business friend and partner Martin Blättler, president of the Business Club, to become a member of the newly established International Business Club Zurich (IBC-Zurich).
A Club for Decision-Makers
The IBC Zurich does not see itself as a traditional networking event, but rather as a curated circle for owners, managing directors, and top executives from the finance, healthcare, real estate, and high-finance sectors. In keeping with the club’s motto, “Substance over small talk,”the focus is clearly on initiating high-caliber collaborations on an international level—with corresponding early-stage opportunities for investors.
“Substance Instead of Small Talk”—under this motto, the founding members of IBC Zurich met in the heart of the city.
The Kick-off in the Heart of Zurich
On April 29, 2026, the inaugural meeting took place in the exclusive setting of the TAOS Restaurant. The theme of the evening—“International Project Development in the Healthcare Sector”—immediately set the tone for the depth of content this club strives to achieve.
Our CEO, Marcus Effland, and our partner and international real estate expert, Thorsten Georgs, attended the event on behalf of 1000FTAD. In accordance with the club’s Chatham House Rules, which guarantee confidentiality and a safe space for exchange, our representatives reported an exceptionally stimulating atmosphere.
Synergies for 1000FTAD
Marcus Effland and Thorsten Georgs spent the evening engaging in in-depth conversations with dedicated professionals from the financial sector and the field of healthcare project development. For 1,000 FTAD, this membership provides access to an exceptional network:
